ABOUT ABOUT

The National-Off Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC), in conjunction with the US Forest Service and the Florida Forest Service, will conduct an OHV Trails Training Workshop on March 28-30, 2017. The 3-day workshop will consist of a classroom session on March 28th at the Tallahassee Community College and field sessions on May 29th and 30th at the Apalachicola National Forest. The workshop is made possible with a grant from the Florida OHV program.

Transport between field session locations will require the use of an off-highway vehicle. Please let us know if you will not be able to provide your own OHV and we will do our best to accomodate you. Every person riding on an OHV will be required to wear proper safety gear including helmet, gloves, goggles, long sleeve shirt, long pants, and over the ankle boots. Any safety equipment required by your employer's OHV safety policy must also be worn.

A block of rooms for workshop participants at a special discounted rate has been reserved at the Candlewood Suites, 2815 Lakeshore Drive West (I-10 Exit 199), Tallahassee, FL 32312. These rooms may be reserved by calling (850) 597-7000 and asking for the NOHVCC OHV Workshop block of rooms. All room reservations must be made by March 17th. Please be aware that the workshop dates coincide with the middle of the 2017 Florida Legislative session, and room availability in the Tallahassee area is very limited. Make your room reservations now.
