The National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) in conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Iron Range Tourism Bureau, will be conducting an OHV Great Trails training workshop on September 19-21, 2017. Primary funding for the workshop is provided by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration, Recreation Trails Program, administered by MN DNR, and awarded to the Iron Range Tourism Bureau. The 3-day workshop will consist of classroom sessions on September 19 at The Lodge at Giants Ridge, 6373 Wynne Drive, Biwabik, MN, and field sessions on September 20 and 21 at the Iron Range OHV State Recreation Area, 7196 Pettit Road, Gilbert, MN. Bring your OHV and riding gear. Field sessions will involve walking to various sites on the trail system so bring your best hiking shoes and clothing, rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellant, water, and other necessary gear. Advance online registration is required. Attendees are responsible for making lodging reservations.
